Herding cats and gearing up around them

I don’t really know how to herd cats. I do know that doing what we do is challenging when you have…..studio cats! Nothing quite like trying to take photos with a feline photobombing your product photography. Or trying to get your attention by hiding the keyboard…

Like so:

I’m sorry, did you need this?

Or stealing your chair:

You may have your seat when I’m done!

Or getting ready for a product photo shoot:

This is my spot now, find your own. #tortitude

I do love our cats, even though I spend more time than one would think washing acrylic paint out of tails and pulling cat hair out of resin (how in the hell does cat hair get INTO a sealed container?! If we could figure that out, I bet we’d be that much closer to faster than light travel!)

I love them so much in fact that we’re trying to figure out a way to take them on the road with us when we travel. That would involve a camping trailer of some sort I’m sure. I’m sketching ideas in my copious free time (HA!). If any of you on the interwebs travel with cats, let me know how you do it!

Enough about my hellish felines. Working feverishly around them to create new art, we’re gearing up for quite a few shows!

Come by and see us!

So much going on!

Well, this has been a really busy last few weeks! We’ve had Retro City Fest, our first, First Friday Las Vegas show, Tempe ComicCon, Tucson Gem and Mineral Show and now we’re gearing up for Las Vegas Toy Con at the end of February!

Let me start by saying thanks to Kirsten, Jasmine and everyone else who works for the First Friday Las Vegas Foundation! It is a really well organized and well run show! Load in and load out are super easy considering how busy it is! I would definitely recommend participating in this event to my other artist friends.  Also, if you’re in Vegas on a first Friday, it’s something fun to do while you’re down town. The artists and makers are amazing!

Tempe Comic Con was tons of fun! So much awesome cosplay. The volunteers worked their parts off! I personally think that we got the best one! Clayton, you ROCK!

I think my favorite CosPlay was Demogorgon.

Lots of new boxes are going up in this shop and on our Etsy shop!
