I really like these small tins. I would say that although they might very well be the most challenging to make, they might be the most fun.
I sand, primer and paint each tin.
I then curate artwork for each box. Whether its from my own (rather ridiculous) collection of rubber stamps; modified for size, or ephemera that I’ve found. I have a problem with collecting art and illustration from the turn of the last century.
I stamp or print on recycled paper. I ink everything in a way I find interesting. I then decoupage these images onto decorative papers then adhere the whole piece to the tin.
After a curing process, I seal the tin with a sealer. Then the tins are allowed to cure.
Each one is unique. Due to the nature of hand crafted items, there may be small differences in subsequent pieces after the original has sold.
